The two calculators, Runtime Compare and Cost Check, are the only things that need scripts to add anything, and the figures they work from are printed on the category pages regardless.

Short, because a static site with no accounts does not have much to disclose.

What this site collects

Nothing you type, because there is nothing here to type into. This site is a set of static pages with no accounts, no comment fields, no newsletter and no contact form. There is no database behind it and no server-side code receiving anything from you.

Storage in your browser

This site sets no cookies of its own and writes nothing to local storage or session storage. The two calculators keep their state in the page while you use them, and that state is gone the moment you navigate away or close the tab.

Fonts and assets

Typefaces are served from this site rather than fetched from a third-party font service while you read. Product images are loaded from the retailer’s image host, which means that host can see the request your browser makes for the image.

Retailer links

Links to a retailer carry an affiliate tag. Following one takes you to that retailer, where their privacy policy applies and not this one. That retailer will know you arrived from here, which is the entire mechanism by which an affiliate link works.

Analytics

If measurement is ever added to this site it will be a privacy-preserving, aggregate service without cross-site tracking, and this page will say so before it goes live rather than after.

Children

This site is written for adults choosing consumer electronics and is not directed at children. One product in the catalog is a children’s watch, and it is recorded exactly as its listing reads, with no age guidance from this site.

Health information

This site is not a health service and does not receive, hold or process health information about anybody. Feature names from product listings are recorded as listing text. Nothing here is medical advice and nothing here is a substitute for a clinician.

Changes

If this policy changes, the change will appear on this page. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
